Node-RED is a powerful tool for wiring together hardware devices, APIs, and online services in new and interesting ways. This guide will take you through the installation process, connecting it with a Node.js application, and using various nodes including HTTP In/Out, MongoDB, HTTP Req and Debug nodes. Before starting Node-RED, we need to install it. Node-RED requires Node.js, so make sure you have Node.js installed on your system.

Setting Up Node-RED with Node.js To integrate Node-RED with your Node.js application, you need to set up a Node-RED instance in your Node.js project.

Now Let’s just create a new file in our NodeJs application to integrate our Node-Red with the API’s Properly. For that after creating a file we need to write a below code given to make a suitable and proper connection without any possible errors.

Now, we are going to get some information about some of the Nodes which we can say we probably uses the most lets go through it. See, Node-RED offers a variety of nodes that facilitate different functionalities within your application. The HTTP In node allows you to create HTTP endpoints that can receive requests, while the HTTP Out node is used to send HTTP responses back to the client. The MongoDB node enables you to connect to a MongoDB database, perform operations such as inserting and retrieving data. The HTTP Request node allows you to make HTTP requests to external APIs, fetching data or interacting with third-party services. The Debug node is essential for monitoring and troubleshooting your flows by displaying message data in the debug pane. Lastly, the Start Node initializes the Node-RED runtime, setting up your environment to create and manage flows efficiently. And after setting up your Node flows you have to Deploy it by clicking the Red button of Deploy on the upper right hand side. After deploying it you can start your Node-red by running your Nodejs file and access it on the localhost with the given port number ,you have given in your Nodejs app.
